Welcome to hear about the latest findings on the global state of civil society – online event on 8 June with CIVICUS
The 2026 edition of the State of Civil Society Report by CIVICUS examines developments during 2025 and early 2026 and highlights the key trends shaping civil society action around the world.
Drawing on more than 250 interviews and over 100 articles published through CIVICUS Lens, the report reflects the experiences and perspectives of civil society actors responding to major global challenges, including conflicts, democratic backsliding, struggles for inclusion, climate justice and global governance reform.
We are pleased to welcome Ine Van Severen, Civic Space Research Lead, and Andrew Firmin, Editor-in-Chief, from CIVICUS to present the report findings and discuss the current global state of civil society. There will also be time for questions and discussion after the presentation.
The event is organised by SOSTE Finnish Federation for Social Affairs and Health and Fingo and is open to all interested participants.
